Central to CRC’s work is creating opportunities to gather together to share insights and experience as well as to be stimulated and challenged intellectually through listening to leading thinkers in areas that relate to a questioning faith, rooted in Jesus. Each year, we aim to host two or three Saturday conferences plus a number of Wednesday Seminar and Library Evenings, all at St Mark’s Church. In this section, you will find details of forthcoming events and be able to make bookings either on-line or by downloading a form.

Val Webb

This year we are very pleased to welcome Dr Val Webb back to CRC, this time to lead a full day conference. Val has delighted us twice already with seminar evenings on her books In defence of doubt and Testing tradition and liberating theology. Last year she was the keynote speaker at the Common Dreams Conference of Progressive Christianity in Brisbane. But now she returns to another theme on which she has written a couple of books, and which we are keen for her to share with us as it is a subject of great importance; namely, how we can credibly speak about God (not to mention to God).
